As an account coordinator at Red Fan Communications, Matt works on the day-to-day execution of communications and marketing strategies for various clients. A newsman at heart, Matt brings a journalist’s mentality and eye for the news to the public relations sphere, always looking for the next sentence to write and the next story to tell.
Prior to joining Red Fan Communications, Matt was a fellow at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where he managed daily executive communications for the global chairman before transitioning to the firm’s corporate advisory practice. He also held an internship at FleishmanHillard’s global headquarters in St. Louis, supporting clients in the energy, technology, clothing and travel industries as part of the firm’s corporate communications team.
A native St. Louisan, Matt is a graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism. He specialized in print and digital news, publishing dozens of stories covering college sports, local politics and more as a beat reporter, copy editor and assistant city editor.
When he’s not writing or catching up on the news, Matt is usually perusing the shelves of his local Barnes & Noble, gallivanting around Austin’s parks and music venues or staring at his crockpot hopelessly wondering when his long-awaited meal is going to be done.
