Raised in London, Kristen brings Red Fan clients the benefits of her international upbringing. While attending Barnard College, Kristen began her journalism career with an internship at ELLE magazine. After graduation, she worked for The Wall Street Journal in Paris before returning to New York to attend the Columbia University School of Journalism. That opened doors to jobs at The New York Times, The Cultural Services of the French Embassy and Texas Monthly, as well as the position of editor at ELLE.com, where she covered the ready-to-wear collections in New York and Paris.
In 2004 and again in 2011, Kristen was drawn to Austin, where she parlayed her editorial expertise each time to PR, building deeply successful PR campaigns and luxury event experiences for clients ranging from Uchi restaurant and P. Terry’s to the Austin Film Festival and a Paris pop-electro band. In 2007 Kristen spent several years back in Paris, where she served as the International Coordinator at the New York Times Syndicate. There Kristen negotiated international photo and text rights, tripling photo sales for the New York Times Magazine and T, the New York Times Style Magazine.
Settled back in Austin, Kristen still finds time to contribute to The Salonniere, as well as serve as communications manager for the Mack, Jack & McConaughey gala put on each year by ESPN and legendary football coach Mack Brown, ACM award winning recording artist Jack Ingram, and Academy Award®-winning actor Matthew McConaughey. A bon vivant to the core, Kristen is passionate about animal welfare, wine, traveling, and Formula 1.
