Founder & President
When it comes to PR and marketing communications, there’s not much Kathleen hasn’t seen, survived and thrived in. In her 20 years of experience, Kathleen has been based out of New York, Boston, Hong Kong and Austin. She’s stood behind clients as they rung the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange and has even had her hand in the first-ever Internet cat video awards. Her know-how gives her a sixth sense for warding off disaster before it strikes and guides her as she develops programs that demonstrate what her client stands for in a way that stands out.
In a PR world that’s too often full of fakery and hype, Kathleen is refreshingly honest. She knows the best campaigns are built on truth, and her mission is to create, protect and energize brands in an era where the public has grown skeptical of traditional marketing messages. Her tailored, strategic approach shapes customer and market perceptions and affects strategic business outcomes such as market share, improved valuation, access to acquisitions and stability during crises.
Kathleen’s clients know her as a seasoned expert and strategist, as well as a hard worker who rolls up her sleeves to make it all happen. Kathleen began her career as a journalist at Cahners Reed Elsevier, and her agency tenure includes work in the New York office of Ketchum Public Relations and PepperCom, as well as the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based offices of Cunningham Communications Inc. Her corporate experience includes positions as JPMorgan’s vice president and director of corporate marketing and communications for Asia Pacific, vice president and director of marketing and communications for JPMorgan Chase’s Lab Morgan, manager of public relations for IBM Research Worldwide, and senior manager of emerging technology public relations for IBM’s Personal Systems Group. Kathleen has won multiple awards, including the Business-to-Business Anvil award, the Big Apple Award and the CIPRA Award, but she sees her biggest accomplishments as the victories she helps her clients achieve.
Kathleen has served as a part-time lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin building out both the corporate communications and crisis communications courses, as well as teaching PR in the entertainment industry. She actively mentors many young people in the PR, advertising and marketing arenas.
Her community involvement includes speaking regularly at St. Edward’s University and The University of Texas at Austin and serving on the boards of The Griffin School and the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
When she’s not working, Kathleen is usually off exploring Austin and the Hill Country with her husband and two children. A cultural aficionado, Kathleen is always up-to-date on wine tastings, culinary events and live music.
