Friends of Red Fan,
Summer is wrapping up, and we are thinking back on all we’ve accomplished lately. Earlier in the year we launched Q2 Holdings on the NYSE, executed a VIP party for Mike Meyers’ film debut of Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon during SXSW and kept the momentum going through the summer. When we haven’t been sneaking away on vacations, we’ve been working hard for current and new clients alike. I’m now very proud to announce promotions, new hires, some fantastic new business wins and a new website for Red Fan that reflects the thoughtful approach we take in the work we do for our clients.
Our new business wins include:
Blackbird Bakery: Launching Karen Morgan's gluten-free flour blends and her latest gluten-free cookbook published by Abrams, "The Everyday Art of Gluten Free."
Atlas Wearables: Launching the company’s first wearable intelligence fitness band this winter, Atlas is giving fitness lovers a new, more accurate way to measure success for pushing to the next level.
XOR Data Exchange: Top secret – we'll tell you more soon! Let's just say this company challenges the credit bureau model in fresh and alluring ways and has the credible team to do so.
Chocolat Plus: Decadence underscored. This Austin-based artisan chocolate company will be officially launching with us this September. We are in the process of renaming and rebranding the company, and its new look will be as exquisite as the outstanding product experience itself.
EmBazaar: A new app we’ll launch across key college campuses this fall. The positioning audit and strategy is well underway to ensure a successful launch.
StatusPath: We launched StatusPath’s new integrated employee status report and objective tracking software this summer, providing businesses with a whole new way to meaningfully track employee statuses to business goals; oh, and did we mention this newly minted company is already in “Fast Company” with thought-leadership from founder Brett Andrew?
Tecolote Farm: Working on an in-depth positioning audit and recommendations for this seasoned organic farm. The quality and unique offerings from this farm already have Austin chefs and CSA members singing high praises!
Sanders Architecture: This outstanding team was in need of a brand refresh, so we conducted a full brand-positioning audit to underscore the true talent under this roof. The makeover included rebranding, new website with fresh content, amazing photography and testimonials from clients and partners. We’re looking forward to launching the new headquarters along with unveiling stellar final resulting client structures in the Fall.
Trail of Lights: We’re already gearing up for the 50th anniversary launch and 15-day celebration this December. The Fall will be filled with news leading up to this cherished Austin event. This is our second year representing the amazing Trail of Lights Foundation and our passion for all things holiday remains strong!
On the employee front:
We hired Stephanie Trusler as our director of finance and operations, and things have been revving-up ever since her arrival. Stephanie comes to us from an insurance background and helped to grow her previous company extensively. She's already making an amazing impact at Red Fan and there's no stopping her. When she's not on boarding new staff or running the numbers, Stephanie is sleuthing out the latest foodie havens and wineries!
Katie King, who joined us just a year ago as a senior account executive, has proven herself quickly with clients, including supporting the IPO of Q2 Holdings. Katie has been promoted to manager of client services. When she's not turning out media alerts and pitching stories to reporters -- you can find Katie pulling some impressive stunts as she's wake surfing on the lake.
Nina Fraga was promoted to account executive a year ago and since then has stepped up with great success in managing day-to-day account activities as well as new business efforts. Nina has been promoted to senior account executive. By day, Nina is crafting editorial calendars for social media, overseeing the content for website designs and ensuring clients and press have what they need. However, by night she's a salsa queen who takes to the dance floor with the same amazing zeal. A team player through and through, she approaches partnership with perfection in each step and nothing less will do!
Alicia Hawley took Red Fan by storm whipping us into shape with graphic design, event planning and overall office management. She has been promoted to special projects manager for design and events. She is constantly researching and bringing great ideas for partnerships, graphic design, events and vendor relationships. A multitasker extraordinaire, Alicia pops to the office some days by 5 a.m., runs 12 miles and somehow has herself ready in the most stylish attire with new logo designs and ideas for clients long before anyone else arrives at the office!
Our internship program has been a big success. We hired two interns this summer. Hannah and Kyle are rock stars, and we are lucky to have them! They bring fresh perspectives, solid skill growth and contributions that we can point to daily. Now that's good stuff!
Finally, we took a breath and made sure our own marketing of Red Fan reflects the great work we have been doing and our unique approach with clients. We took the same approach we take with our clients. So, we decided to give ourselves a little love and attention.
