Austin, Texas-based Inca Boot Company had, over the years, gathered quality but minimal press coverage and maintained a small social media presence. With Austin as its company headquarters, it was imperative for Inca to establish a solid local following and expand its reputation among other boutique shops elsewhere. While it had a fantastic product, Inca still faced the challenge of establishing itself in its market. Inca enlisted Red Fan to build that awareness, coordinate trunk shows in various markets and identify potential partnerships among local organizations.
Red Fan first moved to establish Inca’s presence in the market with a rebranding to Fortress of Inca. We assisted in coordinating a trademark for the new brand and began a targeted local media relations campaign to act as a springboard into broader national outreach. Red Fan secured local coverage in the Austin American-Statesman, Austin Lifestyle magazine, The Austinot, Austin Monthly and Tribeza and national coverage in Daily Candy, Daily Camera, SortaCrunchy Blog and Accessories Magazine, among others. The Daily Candy feature drove so much coverage to the Inca website that customers were ordering on Facebook because of the overflow.
