AUSTIN, TX (Oct 1, 2014) – Red Fan Communications, a full-service Austin-based public relations firm, announced today that it has promoted an employee, Kyle Caton and hired a new associate, Chloe Scheller.

Caton, previously an intern at Red Fan Communications, has been promoted to a full-time account coordinator. Caton graduated last May from St. Edward’s University with a bachelor’s degree in communication with emphases in public relations and advertising. Before beginning his career at Red Fan, Caton gained editorial skills at Austin community newspaper, Community Impact, where he wrote content and created editorial schedules. Caton also gained valuable public relations and branding experience at Focused Advocacy and Golden & Co. In his new role, Caton will assist clients with social media, press releases, pitch decks, newsletters and many other key communications.

Scheller has come on board as an account executive. Previous to working at Red Fan, Scheller gained experience as InFluential Magazine’s communications coordinator, where she built relationships with national thought-leading contributors, wrote editorial content and determined coverage of local and national releases. Scheller has also provided public relations, crisis communication and marketing expertise to several nonprofit, local and national companies. Her expertise lies in re-branding business, media placement and reputation management. Scheller graduated from University of Wisconsin – Green Bay in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in communication and an emphasis in public relations.
